Teeth Effects Bands

Do teeth effects bands work?

Candice- Illinois

While Teeth Effects bands may close a tooth gap you have, the way they work causes more problems than it repairs. Rather than sliding your teeth together, the way proper orthodontics work, they will tip your teeth together. This could lead to your teeth coming out of their socket.

Sometimes the bands (and really these are just rubber bands they are charging $20 for) can work themselves under your gums and become impossible to get out without medical intervention.

If you’re concerned about a gap in your teeth you have better options. They will be significantly more expensive than rubber bands, but they will safely fix your teeth.  I’d look into braces, Invisalign, dental bonding (for small gaps only), or porcelain veneers.
